Barack Obama’s approval rating is in a free-fall plummet in the wake of the *Affordable Care Act’s failure to launch this past week. With no regard for the Constitution, news spread like wildfire that Obama illegally & unilaterally amended the law without a vote. Obama’s amendment leaves Congress & their staffers “exempt” from the pain of Obamacare, which has resulted in massive job cuts because of its skyrocketing deductibles & health insurance premiums.
Poll after poll shows that the vast-majority of Americans oppose Obamacare, and their ire is peaking with the knowledge that President Obama, members of Congress and their staff are all but exempt from the monolithic social program.
Some of the more selfish representatives, backed by their parroting-media, will point-out that those in government “still have to enter into Obamacare’s health care exchanges, so they are not exempt at all”. What these representatives and their loyalist-media do not admit is that the noble-few in government are receiving a 72% tax-subsidy to help them pay for Obamacare.
What, didn’t you individuals receive your Obamacare tax-subsidy yet? Haven’t American businesses and American labor unions received their Obamacare tax-subsidy yet? No. There isn’t one. And now, you get to pay even more money for health insurance under Obamacare.
See Obama’s flailing approval rating to the right. Note the rising red-line. It represents the amount of Americans that disapprove of Obama’s job on America.
Paid for by the people, a tax-handout goes to our representatives and their staff. They take the government cheese so they can more easily *afford the skyrocketing increase in health care. You on the other hand, get no subsidy whatsoever. Equality & equal treatment under the law? Hardly.
Your cost for health care only sky-rockets, and does so without the year-long safety net (delay) that Obamacare provides for others.
If you are a millennial and you decided against buying health insurance (like so many Americans in their twenties) you now have to buy insurance. Obamacare and those who promote it, mandate you to buy their product. Where you used to spend nothing, you will now spend between $100 and $300 dollars per month. Your health care cost is skyrocketing under Obamacare.
If you are a bit older, your health insurance premium (monthly payment) has already increased. And as more and more employers announce more and more cuts to full-time employment (opting for part-timers to avoid Obamacare), the promise of even higher premiums looms in your future. Your health care cost is skyrocketing under Obamacare.
If you are in a labor union, you might like the benefits-package you already have, but you can’t keep that — your “Cadillac Health Care Plan” is now being taxed under Obamacare. Section 9001 of the PPACA shows the 40% excise-tax to your plan. Your health care cost is skyrocketing under Obamacare.
If you are a business and traditionally offer health insurance to your employees, your premiums already cost more than they did before Obamacare. Now that businesses know what’s in the bill, they know that their revenue is taking a huge loss. This is one reason why Obama unilaterally amended the law. Businesses get a one year delay (exemption) before the 2,700 pages of Obamacare regulation crushes down on both company and labor. Your health care cost is skyrocketing under Obamacare.
If you are a Doctor, you will not find your student loans so easily paid-off in the future. And if you’re a Doctor who speaks out against Obamacare, then the IRS may well find themselves on your front door. Like the IRS did with Conservatives, you may be targeted and served with an order to audit. It recently happened to American Patriot, Dr. Ben Carson. Another fine physician, Dr. Larry Kawa even filed a lawsuit against Obamacare. It adds to more than forty filed by the Catholic Church & others (like Hobby Lobby) for Obamacare’s abridgement of the people’s right to religious liberty. The government is actively undermining the “separation of church and state”, with the state’s redefining every church in America.
In anticipation of the *Affordable Care Act’s skyrocketing health care cost, many businesses are limiting the amount of employees they hire. A company with less than fifty employees does not have to offer health insurance, so will not be taxed for dropping health care benefits. The result is that small businesses, who combine to make up the largest employers in America, have stopped hiring full-time employees. Small businesses are trying to remain under the magic number of 50 to avoid higher premiums, or the punishment of tax.
Other employers are firing their full-time employees and opting for more part-timers. In fact, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics reported that 77% of new jobs last month were only part-time. Employers don’t have to offer health care benefits to employees who work less than 30 hours. America is quickly becoming a Part-Time Economy.
As the American people, businesses and labor unions are wrought with what to do about the skyrocketing cost of their health care, they must find comfort knowing even more of their money is going to Washington DC so that representatives can avoid the same worry. After all, representatives and staffers deserve a hand-out for the hard-work done in drafting Obamacare, right?
Government must deserve the tax-handout to help them incur the high-cost of Obamacare more affordably, hence the name of the bill. We “measly subjects” however, do not get the same respect for the word, *affordable.
Is this what the new government considers “equality” and “equal treatment under the law?” Religions forced to turn against their moral-teachings. Some are exempt, and not others. Businesses get a one-year delay before Obamacare crushes them. Not Labor. Not the people. Our Representatives get a 72% tax-subsidy to help them *afford Obamacare. Not Labor. Not Business. Not the people.
It’s not for the taxpayer, it’s only for the tax-collector.
Remember, the Supreme Court led by Democrats also said the same thing of Dred Scott in 1857: “it’s the law of the land”, Democrats howled. Incidentally, the Republican Party defeated the Democrats and overturned their Dred Scott decision. It proves that even the Supreme Court does not have final say on the “law of the land” in America. Per Senator Mike Lee, “The people will always have the final word”.
One must wonder, where are those Republicans now, when the country needs them most?
While some of the more milquetoast Republicans are busy blaming Conservatives for “ignoring the law of the land & shutting down the government”, these squishy Republicans should be reminded of Article 1 Section 7 — “all bills for revenue originate in the House of Representatives”. The House of Representatives is the only branch of government responsible for directly representing the people, and the majority of the people disapprove of Obamacare.
Rather than having faith in the intelligence of the American people, and believing the same polls which have not changed over the last three years, some of those without any backbone pontificate that “there is no strategy for opposing Obamacare right now!!”
RINOS are selfishly putting themselves before the good of the people and whine, “we need Obamacare to win our elections next year!!” These self-serving Republicans continually blame Conservatives for their being upset over a campaign-issue that’s an entire year away.
Do RINOS understand that the TEA Party is composed of 43% registered Independents? When combined with another 8% of registered Democrats, the majority of tea-partiers are not even registered Republicans, yet are continually mislabeled as “the extreme faction of the Republican Party”. And according to Gallup, the tea-party is a lot more “mainstream” than many a pundit would like to admit.
With this fact in mind, maybe the so-called “big-tent republicans” should watch their pretentious little-mouths with regards to blaming the people for government’s inability to act with respect to the word “affordable” and the inter-state commerce clause.
Many of these same squishy representatives actively promote the Marxist tenet of means-testing social security benefits. “Means-testing” takes from one group of people, and gives to another. “From each according to their means, to each according to their need” is the main tenet of governmental Marxism.
You pay taxes your entire life. You plan your retirement carefully, weighing how much money is saved, invested & OWED YOU by government. No matter if you have a family and raised a lot of children, when you retire the government refuses your subjective benefit rate, because “you made too much money & government has a means-test to punish you”. This discriminates against families. Your financial support for your family is discounted by government & the returns for your lifelong taxes are taken.
Americans call it theft.
These same soft Republicans supported another progressive candidate to lose the presidential election in 2012. And now these weak representatives moan over their disdain of having to represent a vast-majority of the American people?!
The Conservative strategy is more than one-fold. It ought to begin dawning on these milquetoast Republicans, who lack any core principles & values, that the elections are an entire year away. While Conservatives continue their stand for liberty, and actually put the good of the people before themselves (or their elections) they should find comfort in the knowledge that they are doing-right.
Conservatives are finally standing-up with some backbone. Conservatives are using the leverage available to them in the Constitution. Conservatives are representing the majority of people by directly, and aggressively opposing Obamacare. And the effect of their stand is apparent.
More & more people are becoming bored with the “shutdown federal government”. Pundits have been reduced to reporting that now “zoo-cams have been shutdown,” as more Americans worry about their very health. And more people learn “just how bad Obamacare really is” for everyone.
Americans want and demand equal treatment under the law. The people overwhelmingly object to Obamacare and always have. While soft Republicans say they are against Obamacare, they have produced nothing but a lot of hot-air with very little results. Republicans have grown too accustom to the art of surrender. They have done it time & time again, and have done so while the American people are being harmed by Obama’s bad policy.
People were promised that they would save $2,500 on average per year. Now we find the average person will not save $2,500 per year, but will be forced to pay an extra $7,500 per year. It’s a ten-thousand dollar per year swing, and with less jobs available, the people are crying out for leadership. The People were promised that “if they liked their Doctors and health care plans, they could keep them”. This is another broken promise regarding the people’s very fundamental right to life, which health care greatly impacts.
Without a budget being passed since the all-time highest budget in 2009, spending is being locked-in at $3.7 Trillions dollars per year. Almost doubling the amount of George Bush’s highest annual budget. With continual debt-ceiling extensions, and continuing weak resolutions, Progressive Republicans have only proved their continual lack of resolve.
Delaying Obamacare one-year for the good of the people, much like many American businesses enjoy, means Obamacare will not be funded for one year. Those Republicans who resist defunding Obamacare for one year, so they can USE the American people’s health as leverage during a campaign, have been put on notice. Start representing the will of the people, or your time is swiftly running out.
No matter how much Barack Obama and his loyalist-media cry about it, Harry Reid does not control the House of Representatives. The people spoke loud and clear in 2012 by electing a Republican House, where “all bills for revenue originate”. To the liberals dismay, Senate may only concur or propose Amendments.
The House of Representatives is the leverage the American Constitution affords its people, and their good conscience. Given the extreme amount of polling data showing the majority of people opposing the sins of Obamacare, we expect our will (not your campaign-issue) to be represented fully under the law. Those unwilling to fight for equal treatment of all persons under the law may well find their poll numbers plummeting as much as Barack Obama’s and that of Obamacare.
John Boehner is doing the job he was sent to Washington to do. He is finally using the Constitutional leverage afforded the people. Boehner recently exclaimed “this isn’t some damn game” after hearing a senior White House official say “the White House doesn’t care” about the shutdown, because the White House is “winning.”
Sure, Democrats are winning. They are winning more and more disapproval for Obamacare. Check the polls, and turn-off the milquetoast of the typical fox news reporter and other progressive pundits who only carry-water for the failure that is Obamacare.
An update: AP Poll as of Oct. 13, 2013 has Obama’s approval rating in the toilet and holding at 37%. It is his all-time lowest approval rating, and is in its second consecutive week. It is now stagnant, while Obama’s disapproval rating is still soaring.
Below is a video of Sean Hannity, one of the few trying to remain as Conservative as possioble on Foxnews. He finally gets Congress to admit to the 72% tax-subsidy they receive under the now amended, and not-so Affordable Care Act, from which the people are certainly not protected.
Below the fox news video is a Conservative Report Radio show regarding Continuing weak Resolutions, ongoing Debt Limit Extensions, the massive federal budget, union money laundering and the need for major tax reform. For the record, so-called mainstream media reporters and mainstream pundits are Union members.
