When it comes to liberal hatred for conservative women, the left knows no bounds. The latest high profile display of leftist spew came from MSNBC’s Martin Bashir when he attacked Sarah Palin for daring to compare the national debt to slavery. Bashir suggested that someone should “defecate in Palin’s mouth and urinate in her eyes”. Sarah Palin’s celebrity combined with a gay slur from Alec Baldwin, which resulted in the cancellation of his show, has put public pressure on the network to give Bashir’s show the ax, as well.
While he has offered what some view as a forced apology, Bashir remains on the air. Clearly, MSNBC would rather raise the flag of hypocrisy for all to see, than to live by the leftist creed of “tolerance”. Sarah Palin is no stranger to progressive malice. In fact, recording the entirety of the viciousness shown to Palin would rival “War and Peace” in length. For all the liberal tripe about forbearance toward other views, they have quite a track record of vitriol put forth toward conservative women.
In 2008, Playboy magazine’s Guy Cimbalo published a list of conservative women he would like to “hate f**k”, which would be an alternate term for “rape”. The list included FOX News’s Megyn Kelly, pundit Mary Katherine Hamm, and even columnist Peggy Noonan, among others, along with graphic descriptions of why they deserved to be assaulted.
Rolling Stone’s Matt Taibbi said of Michelle Malkin: “Now when I read her stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy set of b*lls in her mouth.”
Former MSNBC talking head, Keith Olbermann said Malkin was a “big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it” and he said of S.E. Cupp that “On so many levels she’s a perfect demonstration of the necessity of the work Planned Parenthood does”. While it should be noted that Olbermann issued an apology, he qualified it by saying that neither statement could be seen as being misogynistic.
MSNBC’s Ed Schultz referred to Laura Ingraham as a “right wing slut”, for which, he too issued an apology and offered to remove himself from the network without pay. However, Schultz also called the #WarBYWomen trailblazer, Phyllis Schlafly “the wicked witch of the Midwest.”
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is so steeped in misogyny that even many on the left have accused him of such, not only for his attacks on Hillary Clinton in 2008, but also for his constant attacks on Michelle Bachmann during her presidential run. This weak-minded group thinker considers women to be so brainless that they will vote for anyone with the same plumbing. Indeed, Matthews is so out of touch that even Andrea Mitchell was taken aback when he questioned whether domestic violence was something that women worried about, saying “Is that close to the bone? The idea of wife beating, these old- or beaters?”
Stellar choice of words, Chris.
However, the most vile misogynist isn’t on MSNBC. The top award goes to HBO’s Bill Maher. He has used words like “boobs” and “bimbos” when referring to conservative women, and even used “the C-word” to describe Sarah Palin. In fact, when challenged on it, after criticizing Rush Limbaugh for calling Sandra Fluke a “slut”, Maher’s defense for his use of the word was because HE’S a comedian, and that makes it OK.
Bill Maher is also not above taking shots at Palin’s son Trig, who is afflicted with Down Syndrome.
Meanwhile, Gloria Steinem, the drande dame of the feminist movement, is not only deathly silent on the misogyny shown toward conservative women, she engages in it herself. And why shouldn’t she? After all, if women start figuring out that her liberation con job does nothing more than replace a husband with Uncle Sam, then the Medal of Freedom that President Obama recently bestowed upon her will be as worthless as his Nobel Prize. She is just another liberal hack who is more interested in gaining power off the backs of gullible women than truly “liberating” them. In fact, Steinem once referred to Republican senator, Kay Bailey Hutchison as a “female impersonator”.
Apparently, a woman’s right to choose does not include ideology.
Clearly, the War By Women must be waged not only against hateful men, but also against hateful women who will not hesitate to show their disdain for any of the sisterhood who chooses not to goose step for the left. Furthermore, conservative women do not need prominence to be targets. In 2010, Tennessee state representative Janis Baird Sontany, a Democrat, said of the legislature’s Republican women, “You have to lift their skirts to find out if they are women. You sure can’t find out by how they vote.”
Of course, Sontany issued the standard default apology, but her statement demonstrates the animosity toward conservative women that exists at all levels.
When New Hampshire state rep. Marilinda Garcia, a conservative, announced her candidacy for Congress in New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District , she was immediately set upon in Twitter by NH Democratic state rep, Peter Sullivan. He compared her to Kim Kardashian, called her a right-wing extremist, said she was “unhinged” and even managed to take a shot at Michelle Malkin while he was in the midst of his denigration delirium. Sullivan must have figured that his scorn would go unnoticed, but he did not figure on woman warrior, Katie Pavlich, to call him out on his “No H8” hypocrisy. Even Forbes gave a mention to the attack on Garcia. Sullivan received such rampant criticism that he temporarily protected his Twitter account. In fact, he was smacked down again several days later when Hot Air picked up the story.
2014 is an election year, and Obamacare has the backs of the Democrats up against the wall. It should be expected that liberals will use the entirety of their arsenal to go “scorched earth” on conservatives, and conservative women will certainly not be spared. Conservatism is about empowering women. It is the true Women’s Liberation Movement.
The left cannot allow that truth to flourish or they will lose a substantial portion of their control.
The celebrity of Malkin, Palin or Coulter provides them with a platform to call out the leftist hypocrisy when they are assailed. However, conservative women in lower level races, who do not have the same clout, may find themselves blindsided by such assaults. This is why the War By Women must be fought on all levels. We must be ever-vigilant. We must monitor all races that include Republican, and especially conservative, women, and we must go on the offensive when the “tolerant” leftists violate their own creed. We must know what conservatism is and be prepared to defend it.
Big government is proving to be a big failure. That leaves the left without an argument. The only thing they have remaining is an attack. Be ready for it, ladies.
